From Internal Case Review to Client Engagement - With Case Tracking and Weekly Updates

This demonstration shows how the Internal Case Review, Project Budget, Client Engagement Packet, Case Tracker, and Weekly Case Update work together while keeping internal analysis separate from client-facing documents.

Demonstration only. All case names and Case IDs shown in the Case Tracker and Weekly Case Update are fictional. These sample materials are not approved for client distribution, billing, signature, or active case management.
Process Overview

Three controlled handoffs, supported by ongoing internal tracking.

The matter is evaluated internally, translated into an approved scope and budget, and then assembled into a client-facing engagement packet. The Case Tracker stays active across the life of the matter, and the Weekly Case Update turns tracker data into a concise management view.

1

Internal Case Review

Organizes the matter, identifies issues, missing information, recommended services, and approval needs.

2

Project Budget

Translates the approved internal scope into controlled rates, assumptions, estimates, and retainer values.

3

Client Engagement Packet

Presents only the approved client-facing engagement documents after internal review.

4

Case Tracking + Weekly Management Reporting

The Case Tracker is the ongoing operating layer. The Weekly Case Update summarizes status, priorities, dependencies, and next actions for the internal team.

Internal Controls

What keeps the workflow clean

Separate internal and client-facing contentPreliminary issue flags, decision reasoning, and approval notes remain internal.
Budget before packet releaseThe Project Budget controls scope, rates, estimate, and retainer before client-facing release.
Track the handoffsThe Case Tracker records status, dependencies, next actions, and ownership across the matter lifecycle.
Report from the trackerThe Weekly Case Update should summarize the tracker rather than create a second, disconnected source of truth.
